11:59

11:59 Terms of Service

The short version

1. Who we are, and agreeing to these terms

11:59 is run by CoinFluence LLC ("11:59", "we"), a Virginia company. The App Store lists Rohan Anand as the seller for now; your agreement and your payment are with CoinFluence LLC.

You agree to these Terms and the privacy policy when you pay; the app says so beside the pay button. Each goal you sign is a separate agreement with CoinFluence LLC. Its Full terms (goal, deadline, proof, amount, the cancel rule, how the deadline can change and, for photo proof, the "Send proof by" date) are shown before you pay and frozen when you sign, and they govern that goal where these Terms differ.

11:59 is offered in the United States. Amounts are in US dollars.

2. Who can use 11:59

You must be 18 or older to put money on a goal. The app asks you to confirm this before your first payment, and every paid goal's Full terms say it. Use a payment card that is yours to use. You are responsible for what you type into 11:59 and for anyone you share a group code or confirmer link with.

3. How a goal works

  1. Write a goal and pick a deadline at least an hour away and at most a year away.
  2. Choose how you will prove it: a photo or screenshot, or a person you name to confirm it.
  3. Pick an amount, any whole-dollar amount from $5 to $100.
  4. Read the pledge, sign with your finger, and pay. The first time you pay on a phone, you also confirm you are 18 or older.

Your goal shows a "Send proof by" date after the deadline (today, 14 days after it). Those extra days are only for sending. Your proof has to show you did the goal by the deadline.

You cannot start paying less than an hour before the deadline; if a payment lands inside that hour, the goal does not start and it is refunded in full. Until you pay, nothing is signed and no money is on it.

4. Payments

5. Refunds and cancellation

When you get the full amount back. Always the full amount, sent back to the card you paid with; if the card cannot take it, a person at 11:59 returns it another way:

How long it takes. The refund is started as soon as the result is recorded. Stripe sends it to the card you paid with; banks usually post it within 5 to 10 business days. The goal's screen shows where the refund is. If Stripe cannot be reached, we keep retrying. If Stripe refuses the refund, or it fails three times, it is still owed to you, and a person at 11:59 finishes it.

The 15-minute free cancel. Within 15 minutes after your payment goes through, if you have not reported anything or sent any proof, you can cancel in the app and the full amount comes back. The 15 minutes are counted to when your cancel reaches us, and the app shows the exact minute the free cancel ends. If our server cannot confirm the time, it cannot take your cancel until it can, and the 15 minutes keep running; if that costs you the free cancel, send a message and a person will look at it.

After the free cancel, before the deadline. Cancelling means giving up. 11:59 keeps the whole amount, and that is final the moment you cancel, with no person involved. The app tells you this before you confirm. If you are sick or something outside your control got in the way, do not cancel: send a message ("Something else") and a person can cancel your goal without fault and return the whole amount.

From the deadline on. You can no longer cancel. The same is true once you have reported, sent proof, received a proposed result, your confirmer has answered, or your goal is on hold because you reported a problem or a person is looking at it. A person can still cancel it without fault, for illness or anything else outside your control, a mistake or outage on our side, rules we made unclear, a confirmer we could not reach, or a plan that turned out to be unverifiable, and the full amount comes back. You cannot close a paid goal yourself; send a message and a person decides.

Our own delays. If time spent waiting on us (the automated check, our review queue, an appeal, an outage, or a request or message of yours that no person has answered) adds up to 14 days, your goal is cancelled with nobody at fault and the full amount is refunded, automatically, even while a proposed result or an appeal is open. Time you spend answering a request of ours does not count, and this never cuts short time you still have.

Disputes and chargebacks. Email support first; it is faster. If you open a dispute with your bank, we stop any automatic refund on that payment so nobody is paid twice, and a person handles it. If you dispute the charge before an amount is kept, keeping it waits for a person. Account deletion waits while a dispute is open.

6. Proof and how it is reviewed

AI or a person. Before you first send proof, 11:59 asks whether it may send your photos and the words of your goal to Anthropic, an AI company. You can change your answer any time in Account. If you say no, or do not answer, a person reads your proof, which may take longer, and nothing else changes. If you say yes, the AI reads your proof against your goal as written and gives it a confidence score. Today:

The thresholds are frozen into each goal's agreement. We can switch the AI off at any time; then a person decides. The AI can approve your goal on its own. It can never make a loss final: before 11:59 keeps any amount after a "not met" result, a person at 11:59 reviews the case and confirms it. Silence alone never loses your money.

A person. A person we authorize reads everything the AI does not settle, every message you send, every appeal, every request for more time, and every confirmer's answer. We aim to act within 48 hours of a case reaching a person.

Proposed "not met". A person, or the AI, can propose that your goal was not met. A person's reasons: the evidence does not show the goal or is insufficient, nothing arrived by the "Send proof by" date, your confirmer did not confirm, or you reported it missed yourself. You then have 3 days (72 hours) to send more, explain or appeal. They count from the proposal. If you first open that goal or Messages in the app later, and no person has decided yet, they count from then instead. Your goal's card on the home screen and the screen where you respond show the exact end time. After that, a person reviews everything and decides. Nothing is final while a message of yours is unread, a request of yours is unanswered, or an appeal is open.

Appeals. You can appeal any proposed "not met", whoever proposed it, until a person makes it final. A different person reads it when we have one. We aim to resolve appeals within 7 days. If the appeal is accepted, the proposal is withdrawn and review continues.

Never a loss on its own. A person reads each of these instead:

Notices. We send notices in the app and by push notification, never by email. Push notifications never name your goal, amount or result. Your time to respond is counted as this section says.

7. Deadlines and changes

Changing it yourself. Once per goal, within 15 minutes after your payment goes through and while the deadline you signed is still at least 6 hours away, you can move it up to 7 days earlier or later, to a time at least an hour away. It happens at once. Not for group goals or goals with a confirmer.

Anything else is a request. A person decides, usually within 2 days. A deadline can move at most 30 days from the one you signed, must stay at least an hour ahead and within a year of when you signed, and can only move while the goal is running: not once the deadline has passed, not after you have reported or sent proof, and not while a person holds it. One request at a time. A request moves nothing until a person grants it; if your deadline comes first, it stands and a person is told. Ask early.

A group goal's deadline never moves; everyone signed the same one. A goal with a confirmer always goes to a person, and the confirmer's page shows the new deadline and the one it replaced. A change moves your "Send proof by" date by the same distance.

More time to send proof (not to do the goal): one request per goal, while we are still waiting for your proof or for a detail we asked for, up to 60 days after your deadline. A person grants or refuses it. An accepted window is never shortened.

8. Groups, confirmers and supporters

Groups. The creator signs and pays first. Anyone with the code gets the same goal, deadline, proof (a photo or screenshot) and amount, and signs and pays their own. Each member's result is their own. Joining closes an hour before the deadline; if the creator cancels, the group closes to new members and everyone already in keeps going. Members see each other's display name and status, never photos, notes or payment; the creator is shown as "The creator". The invite link shows the goal, deadline and amount to anyone who has it, so share it carefully.

Confirmers. If you choose a person to confirm your goal, you name them and send them the link yourself; we do not contact them. They must accept within 7 days of getting the link, and you can send at most 3 links. They must accept and confirm their name before you can sign; if they decline, choose someone else or another way to prove it. They see what you agreed to do and the deadline, not your name. They answer once, within 3 days after your deadline, and you see their answer and anything they add. A person at 11:59 reads their answer whatever it is. If they never answer, you get 7 days from our notice (or your existing "Send proof by" date, whichever is later) to send your own proof.

Supporters and coaching. Coaching (plans, steps, reminders, supporters) is optional. A supporter you invite sees the name you give them, your goal only if you share it, and your progress. Never your proof, money, notes or result. Coaching and reminders never change your goal, deadline, rules or money.

9. Acceptable use

Do not:

Proof that looks edited, contains instructions, or shows things that disagree goes to a person, who can propose "not met". You can respond and appeal (section 6); if a person makes the result final, 11:59 keeps the amount. A card that is not yours is a matter for Stripe and your bank, and we cooperate with them.

10. Deleting your account, and ending the agreement

Delete your account in the app: Menu, then Account, then Delete account. It cannot be undone. It removes your goals, proof, decisions, coaching data and identity on our server. What stays, including a payment record kept for 7 years, is listed in the privacy policy.

If a paid goal is still open, or any money is unsettled (an open payment page, a refund in flight, a dispute, or a kept amount waiting for a person), we save your request and finish the deletion by ourselves once every paid goal is settled and any money owed to you has been sent. Until then you cannot put money on a new goal; everything else keeps running.

Deleting the app is not deleting your account. A goal you have signed and paid for runs to its end under its own agreement; deleting your account does not cancel it and does not return the amount outside the rules in section 5.

11. The App Store

These Terms are between you and CoinFluence LLC, not Apple. Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement governs your license to the app. Apple is not responsible for 11:59 and has no obligation to maintain or support it; we do. We, not Apple, handle any claim about the app, including claims under product liability, consumer protection, privacy or similar laws, and any claim that the app infringes someone's intellectual property. Apple and its subsidiaries may enforce these Terms against you. Your payment is not an App Store purchase: Apple does not take it, hold it or refund it. Stripe's terms apply on its payment page.

12. Disclaimers, liability and governing law

11:59 is provided as is. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error free, or that a goal will help you finish anything. The money rules in these Terms and in each goal's Full terms are the only promises we make about your money.

To the extent the law allows, CoinFluence LLC's total liability to you is limited to the larger of what you paid us in the 12 months before your claim or $100, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

If you have a problem, write to support@eleven-fiftynine.app first, with the support code shown under Menu, then Account; we reply within two business days. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia.

13. Changes to these terms, and contact

We will post changes on this page and update the date above. A change never alters a goal you have already signed: its goal, deadline, proof, amount, windows and AI thresholds were frozen when you signed, and any change to the money rules in sections 4 to 7 will apply only to goals signed after it, unless the change only helps you.
