Common questions

How does 11:59 work?

Write a goal, pick a deadline and put $5 to $100 on it. Finish it, send your proof, and get all of it back. Miss it, and 11:59 keeps it once a person confirms. You can respond and appeal first. You must be 18 or older to put money on a goal.

How do I pay?

Once per goal, on a secure Stripe page, with a card (or Apple Pay where it shows). We never see your card number.

When do I get my money back?

As soon as your proof is approved. It goes back to the card you paid with and usually shows up in 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank.

Can I cancel?

Cancelling is free for 15 minutes after you pay. After that, if you cancel, 11:59 keeps the money. Sick, or something else outside your control? Tell a person in the app or email us.

Can I change my deadline?

Once, in the first 15 minutes after you pay, by up to 7 days, while the deadline is at least 6 hours away. After that, ask in the app and a person decides, usually within 2 days. Goals with a confirmer always go to a person. A group goal's deadline never moves.

How long do I have to send proof?

Until the "Send proof by" date on your goal. Late proof still goes to a person.

What if the problem is on our side?

A confirmer who never replies, a notice we failed to send, or a bug in 11:59 is never counted against you.

How do I delete my account?

Menu, then Account, then Delete account. If a paid goal is still open, deletion waits until it settles and any money owed to you is returned. It then finishes on its own.

Something wrong with a charge?

Email us first. It's faster than a bank dispute.
